Well hello there! I hope you enjoyed the long weekend celebrating George Washington!
I don't have too much to say at the moment, as I'm busy being frustrated by my unsuccessful "photo shoot" from earlier today. Seriously, it's so bad that I can't think of any reason why I'd share it with anyone. I'll try again tomorrow... Once I get some good shots, I can't wait to share them, along with a new workout!
Anyway, on a positive note, I recently read this really cool article posted in NCAA Magazine. It features three female athletes who started competed in various sports in college, but who all ended up trying out for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team. Of course, I was naturally drawn to the article because one of the young women is a former college volleyball player, but it's a pretty fascinating story that's inspirational to all types of athletes.
While I'm not particularly interested in watching the events of the Sochi Olympics, I do love hearing the stories of different athletes and how they ended up at the Olympics. It's such a cool thing to be a part of!
Which Olympics do you prefer, summer or winter? What are some of your favorite events? Have you ever tried competing in a brand new sport as an adult?
