Thursday evening, I am leaving town for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania! That's right, my lovelies -- it's finally time for the American Odyssey Relay ! I'll be racing with Team Bloggin' & Joggin' from May 1-2, relay racing from Gettysburg, PA to Washington, DC. Unbelievable, I know! If you asked me this time last year if I would even consider doing something like this, I can't even imagine the stink eye I would've given you! Because I am running three legs of this race over a 24-36 hour period, I have been resting all day, and played about half the amount of volleyball this week that I normally would. This makes my heart sad, but it makes my legs feel a lot better! ...

Hello hello! Happy Saturday, friends! My goal today is to pull together a few posts for you, since I'll have a lot going on next week (including my first relay race EVER!). To kick off this dreary Saturday, I'm posting my first ever YouTube video! That's right, folks: Lex on Film. (ew) I apologize in advance for the fact that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. :-) Full disclosure: I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel complimentary from Influenster. All of the views in my video are my own (including the part about not wanting an ashy face). ...

On Sunday, I ran the most fun, beautiful race I could have asked for! That's right, folks -- I ran the 2015 Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run ! everything . This was the longest distance I'd ever run, so of course I managed to earn a PR (personal record) for this race. :-) It has been three days since the race, and I definitely think I'm still on a runner's high, but I'm cool with that. Maybe I should run 10 miles more often...? Any-who, I am going to do my best to make sure that I don't drag this post on, despite my propensity for longwindedness (that's a word, right?). There is so much I could write about, but I think it's best to split those things up into separate posts. Don't want to overwhelm you with one MEGA post! ...

Happy Hump Day! It's Wednesday, which means I'm just FOUR DAYS away from my first ever 10-mile race! Aghhh! To relax my mind and body a little this week, I have been doing a little bit of yoga, and a lot of stretching. Fortunately, I haven't had to go to my gym to get some yoga in because: 1) My schedule has been a little unorthodox lately, and 2) Sometimes I just don't want to brush my hair. #noshame ...

A few months ago, my great friend and fellow runner Kelly encouraged me to enter the lottery for the Nike Women's 15K in Toronto . Being a huge fan of Toronto, I entered the lottery, thinking there was absolutely no chance I would get accepted. As I've said many times before, I'm a fairly slow runner, PLUS I'm not Canadian. What were my chances? Why should I get accepted? Okay, that's unfair. There was no reason I shouldn't get accepted to a random drawing. I love running, I love Toronto, and I love my Nike running shoes. Aside from the fact that I run slowly, I'm a pretty good candidate! So, did I make it? ...
