I'm a 2020 Balega Impi Ambassador!

Balega Impi Ambassador
I am so excited, you guys: I was selected to be a Balega Impi Ambassador!

Balega is an amazing brand with high-quality running socks. A lot of us bloggers throw around the phrase "brand ambassador," but what does it actually mean to be a brand ambassador? A brand ambassador is someone who has a passion for the brand and helps spread the word about a brand's products and mission with their readers/followers. Different brands have different programs for their ambassadors, but the general idea is the same.

What is an Impi Ambassador? "Impi" is a Zulu word that means "warrior," so I'm going to be a warrior for Balega! According to Balega, "our Ambassador Team is made up of 136 Balega warriors from across the U.S. and South Africa. These passionate Balega running sock fans share the soul of our brand. Runners, walkers, hikers, professional athletes, coaches, running store employees, and more—they come together to spread the Balega story."

We have a Facebook group for all of the ambassadors, and I'm super impressed by all of them! I went through and read everyone's intro posts and was blown away by the amazing places where they all get to run, in addition to the incredible race photos they've captured. Meanwhile, all of my race photos come out looking like this:

I definitely need to ask some of the people in this inspirational crew how they get their beautiful running shots! Also, if any of you have some tips, I could really use them right about now!

I cannot wait to try out the full Balega product line and share my thoughts with all of you. The Balega socks I've owned thus far are the best running socks in my closet, and I'm sure my mind is about to be blown by all of the products I haven't explored yet.

So... what's so special about Balega?
All Balega socks are designed by the Balega team in the U.S. (led by founders Bert and Tanya Pictor), in addition to remaining very deeply rooted in its hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, where the rest of the manufacturing takes place at our state-of-the-art production facility.

There's so much that goes into the design of each and every pair of socks! Honestly, I didn't realize how much technology and intentional design went into building a pair of running socks, and after poking around n their website, my mind is officially blown! Check out this page if you want to learn more about the construction of Balega running socks.

Stay tuned for more info on my experience as a Balega Impi Ambassador!

Have you ever used Balega running socks? What do you look for in a pair of running socks?
